Complementing Our Furniture

It’s nice to arrange house once in a while because sometimes the aura of our homes become so different from the old one. It gives a different ambiance and our house will be exciting to look at. Anyway I’ve noticed that our electric fans are taking up so much space in some parts of the house and I’m thinking of getting some Casablanca ceiling fans to maximize space and to give way for our other appliances. It should be able to give our house an elegant look also because I would be choosing stylish but elegant designs to complement the living room furniture we have.

Looking at the Sky on Friday#100: Tagaytay Sky

This is one of the breathtaking views of the sky over mountains, lake and beautiful nature at Tagaytay Picnic Grove. I've chosen a spot where I can include part of the ruins of the old buildings we used to see several years back. I just don't know why they leave it like that (the ruins I mean), is it part of their tourism campaign or they just didn't know that it's not beautiful to see abandoned ruins. That spot used to house air conditioned family cottage houses and rooms for vacationing families and couples. We used to hold our summer camp meeting there and it was very well kept then and beautiful.

The place still hold some magic to me and I can spend my whole day just gazing at the nature before me, such wonderful creations of God that I'll never get tired of flashing my cam. I really love sky watching wherever my cam takes me. God's creations are indeed beautiful.

Patience, Determination and Discipline

It’s really not that easy to lose weight because you’ll need not just patience but a lot of determination and discipline. Planning Ahead of Time

Holiday season is coming very soon and I’m thinking of how I can manage my time on that month as there are so many things I should do like sending out Photo Christmas Cards, planning holiday meals, packing for our camp meeting, having my friends on my birthday which is 4 days before Christmas and many other things. Month of December has always been my busy month and as early as now I want to plan ahead to avoid the rush fever. I know also that if I’m well ahead of my activities plan I can enjoy the holiday more.

I’ve been thinking all ways on living healthy and fit so now I’m disciplined enough to eat the right and balanced food, do regular workout exercise and sleep as much as I can to complete at least 6-8 sleeping hours. Knows How to Fix Appliances

It’s nice seeing DH fixing some of the appliances at home because when he’s still working in his previous job he knows nothing about it. Now that he’s studying electronics he easily adopted to his course and tries on fixing malfunctioning appliance like our other TV which was not in use for several months because of tuner problem. Just Starting to Get Ready for the Holidays

It’s only days before the month ends and two months before the busiest holiday of the year. I noticed here in our community that people are only starting to shop for artificial christmas tree and decors unlike the past years that they started decorating at the start of BER months at the first days of September. People are getting more economical and thrifty these days that they opt to spend their money first on the second semester tuition fees of their kids before shopping for Christmas decorations. It’s also the election of barangay officials and youth here so that’s maybe one of the reasons why they delayed the festive start of Christmas holiday.

DH and I are so glad that all our kids are in good health condition now free from common sickness such as colds, coughs and fever. Now I’m taking care of their intake of Vitamin C in a natural way. On Growing Up

Time flies so fast and I just realized that half of the school year has passed already. After the short school break of the kids they will start the other half of the year. This is my daughter Gen’s last year in primary and next year she’ll be joining her sister in secondary school. My baby girl who is a little boyish in many ways will soon be a teen and I was half-heart into that. We spent few days in DH mother's house in Montalban and we went home early in the morning to catch up our Sunday service. I just can't resist the urge to stop at the bridge and take a shot on this majestic view, it's lovely when I saw it personally. It's beginning to have some light in the sky despite the time. It was early June and summer has just ended so daytime is longer than nighttime to explain the slightly clear sky at 5 in the morning.

I love the pink tinge in the sky and I love how it became a great background for the creations of God - the mountains, the trees and the river. A Season of Sickness

Rainy days’ season is the time that sickness is very prevalent in all ages and places. I was praying last week that storm will not hit us hard because it will not pose danger to people but to properties as well. The kids have no classes today and we’ve talked about their school, exams and possible career they may want. The girls have little hints and ideas of what they want but the little boy was just imitating his likes from my university. This shot may look very dark but it's only after 5 in the afternoon here at the seaside bay at Mall of Asia. I was trying to catch the sunset but my battery was losing its charge so I didn't get a clearer shot. I was happy at my shot though a bit dark it's still magical to look. I was seeing some college friends here and hubby accompanied me. He's the one who told me to take a shot at the beautiful sight. Wish I had an earlier and closer shot. Hubby promised me we'll come back with the kids and I can have more beautiful shots.

The Natural Way

It’s nice to feel the sweat coming out of your body while giving your best to do all required movements for workout. I’ve consumed 3 glasses of water while working out and it seems that it just passes through me and it never quenched my thirst. I’m glad that I finally took hold of what I should be doing for myself and not just asked if thermogenic is effective. I know that in due time I can go back to my slimmer form and be as healthy as always.

Returned to Healthy Habit

I’m into getting healthy now and started my healthy diet plan of eating regularly but less fat and rice. My meals consist of full breakfast, regular lunch with 2 kinds of fruits and very light dinner without rice, 2-3 varieties of fruits and eaten very early at night. I may not need hoodia diet pills because I’m now getting used to my meal plan with more veggies and fruits. I also started out my workout exercise few days ago.

I’ve been feeling a little weak last month due to hectic schedule and lack of rest. My busy schedule forced me to work late evening up to dawn and to eat more because it’s hard to stay awake long without any food. It’s the food or favorite coffee drinks that helped me to finish my tasks and to stay awake. I know it’s not healthy to eat at midnight but I didn’t have much choice. But when I started to feel sickly I returned to my healthy habit again and that’s my healthy meal plan, regular exercise and minimum of 6 hours sleep. I hope I can keep it up.

:Looking at The Sky on Friday#97: Mall of Asia

This is a shot at the seaside Mall of Asia where the sun is beginning to set. You can see a pale sky here with scattered clouds in contrast with the grand look of the mall. It's about 5pm when DH and I arrived and since it's our first time to go there we had some pics taking before entering the big mall. I have some hesitations in going to MOA because it's standing from a man-made land only and as such it's a weak structure and a danger to earthquake, just my opinion! Well I like it because the stores are great and the restaurants are everywhere. I like seeing wide variety of restaurants to choose from as I love trying out new restaurants.

We had some pizza and pasta at Sbarro and had a full dinner with college close friends at Aling Tonyang’s Restaurant at the seaside. It was pure enjoyment and memorable day with best college buddies.

Value of Signatures

In my little boy’s school every assignment and project they do at home must be signed by a guardian or parent. If there’s no signature from us the assignments would not be checked and counted. I like the system implemented by the school because the parents would be forced into attending to their kids’ homework. I don’t know how they arrived at this regulation but in my son’s preparatory school I heard some cases of busy parents not being able to look into their kid’s school assignments. So I guess this is one way of bonding the parents with their kids and I certainly approve it.

Well speaking of signatures I remember having my boss’ signatures on all pages of our bidding documents which is one of the requirements of our client. One officemate joked about having custom rubber stamps bearing our boss’ signature to sign on those documents to simplify things. Of course that’s not allowed as original signatures are really required for bidding and technical proposal documents. I know that’s part of authenticating that the submitted documents are verified by the company’s President.

My First Week of Workout Plan

I’ve been working so hard for the past several months and it lead me to unhealthy eating and sleeping habit. I need to stay awake after midnight hours so I also have to eat as well. That’s how I gained too much excess pounds and almost given me breathing difficulty last month. I started feeling sick a month ago for no reason at all. My doctor told me that I gained too much weight and I should shed off some pounds if I want to stay healthy. He also suggested having regular exercise because being healthy also means being fit. That’s when I started thinking of my health, my body and how I should discipline myself on following my healthy meal and workout plan. I learned a long time ago that in order to be healthy and fit you should have discipline and patience. Without these two traits losing weight will only be a dream.

Now I’m into my 4th day of doing my aerobics, cardio exercises and some other workout routines and I feel great! It’s only hard on the first day when you’re starting up but little by little I have grown to love every minute of it. I started with a 10-minute workout then I increased it with 10 minute a day and now I’m doing a 40-minute combination of aerobics and workout exercises. I have set my goals and I know with my perseverance and discipline I’ll be able to achieve it. Now I’m more particular with cardio workout and strength training routine because I want to be real healthy and fit. Need to Boost Appetite

My nephew is sick again and he’s been absent from class for three days now. I was really worried because the fever keep coming back and they didn’t know the cause. He’s out of danger for dengue and he didn’t have cough but his feet are losing strength that he can’t walk straight the other day. He has little appetite in general and very choosy on the foods and his doctor told my brother that he needs to eat cheese, eggs, bananas and many others. He lost energy maybe because of the frequent fever that hit him and now he wants to go to school because he misses the school and his friends a lot.

Aside from the food that was recommended by the doctor I think he really needs the best multivitamins to supplement his intake of food and to give him a good appetite to eat various kinds of foods and not just what he wants. As I’m writing this post I’m asking his condition as of this hour. I pray and hope that he’ll get well as soon as possible. My little boy told me that he missed his cousin classmate Matt.

This is a shot from my place in Elem. School Gym while I was waiting for my daughter's Press Conference. The sky was so brilliant that day. The blue sky was a perfect background for the silky soft cottony clouds making its beauty noticed between the trees and the new Dept. of Education building. I love the clarity of the colors here from the trees, sky, clouds and the building, perfect for sky watching on limited space.

Healthcare Job Vacancies

I noticed these past few months that I’ve been seeing online lots of vacancies for healthcare staff in most areas of the world that’s why some parents encouraged their children to take up any healthcare related course so they can apply for a good-paying job in other countries. Our tenant finished a business degree in college but studied again and took up Nursing because she learned that there’s a great demand for healthcare it jobs and other health-related jobs abroad. Actually even my Auntie living in U.S. is running a nursing home and often times she would hire from our hometown and get them employed as caregivers. It was her passion to help unemployed friends, relatives and other hometown mates.

Interested on Other Things

My daughter is really interested in collecting old coins just like me and she’s searching in Wikipedia about how coins are being made and why we need to have coins from the government. Gen always has a way of being interested on things. In fact she’s very competitive and unlike other girls who were starting to know about how they can beautify themselves she resist from it. She’s more interested in inter-school contests than having some girly things talk.

Anyway among her collections she love most the two gold coins that Mom has found for her. I forgot to look at the date but it seems uncommon with the rest of her silver coins. Oh well that makes that two coins special to Gen. I told her to keep it for investment, who knows when she grows old it may reach great value. Funny kid she looks like me and she acts like me when I was still a kid. Even my friends told me so.

I Should Move a Lot

Why is it that when women gains weight it’s their belly that suffers most. I have observed this to most of my women friends in my kids’ school just like me when I gain weight. I assumed that it can be due to prolonged sitting because my Auntie told me that I should stand up once in a while for me not to accumulate fat on my belly. Not knowing if it’s true I try to get out of my working chair once in a while to avoid what my Auntie was telling me. Anyway I think proper diet, regular exercise and frequent body movements can help my belly fat burning to shed off excess pounds. I came to know also that it has something to do with body’s metabolism and because I’m not getting any younger each day I should move a lot.
