Skywatch Friday#2: Before the Sun Sets

Click the image to view larger image

This is how the sky looks just before the full sunset sets in, so  breathtaking in beautiful shades of color.  This is just the perfect background for the silhouette of the kids taking advantage of the darkening sky to dip in the sea for the last few minutes before we set off going home.  Some picked up various shapes of  shells while walking down the beach.  It's the first day of the year then and we welcomed the new year  on the beach thanking and appreciating God's wonderful creations and blessings.

Skywatch Friday : Pensive Sunset

I’ve always loved sunset especially when I see it on the beach. This is the reason why I waited for the sunset to arrive before going home when we had our outing with our church brethren last January. Well it’s worth the wait isn’t it? I love the golden hues of the sky here, makes for some pensive thoughts!

:Photohunt: Mostly Black - Black Clouds

This is my view in the late afternoon when we had our outing in Cavite beach together with church brethren.  I saw all black greyish clouds looming atop the sea sending signals to us that rain showers are coming.  It's good that it happened an hour before we left the place and just a few raindrops.  It was the first day of the current year and we always go to the beach or somewhere to welcome the year with good vibes.

The kids spent the whole day playing sands and swimming. They only come back to our cottage when they're hungry or thirsty. They really love the beach and so do I. Anyway the mountain looks dark also and they told me that beyond the mountain lied the province of Bataan.

:Looking at the Sky on Friday #107: Rainbow

Click the image to enlarge

This is my dream shot and though it's not as clear as I want it to be I'm still happy to catch this one.  I always love looking at rainbows when I was still a kid when we're still in the province.  It's nice to gaze at the sky when you're in vast field because you'll see the sky in full view. No cables, no buildings just pure sky gazing.

I  really love sky watching wherever my cam takes me. God's creations are indeed beautiful. Visit more beautiful sky photos just click on the badge below!

:Looking at the Sky on Friday #104: Afternoon Walk at the Beach

Click the image to enlarge

This is my shot of my two church mates walking in the beach to look for shells.  The best time to find beautiful shells is in the afternoon when it's low tide.  The sky here is alarming us of impending rains and indeed it rained after several minutes.  Still I go my shot of the beautiful yet dark sky at the beach.  We were there for some relaxing day out with family and friends in our church.

This is the same spot where I used to take my shots from our rented church venue windows.  The building had undergone paint renovation that's why it looks different.  The shot was taken at around 5pm but the sky still looks like far from sunset time.  I was actually waiting for sunset but it gave me this sight.  Anyway I still love it as the sky always look magnificent to me as long as there are cloud formation to gaze at and different shades of blue in the sky.
I  really love sky watching wherever my cam takes me. God's creations are indeed beautiful. Next week I'll feature my shots of the sky at the beach we went last Monday.

:Looking at The Sky on Friday#99: Montalban Mountain at Dawn

Click the image to enlarge

We spent few days in DH mother's house in Montalban and we went home early in the morning to catch up our Sunday service.  I just can't resist the urge to stop at the bridge and take a  shot  on this  majestic view, it's lovely when I saw it personally.  It's beginning to have some light in the sky despite the time.  It was early June and summer has just ended so daytime is longer than nighttime to explain the slightly clear sky at 5 in the morning.
I love the pink tinge in the sky and I love how it became a great background for the creations of God - the mountains, the trees and the river. Just perfect!I love sky watching wherever my cam takes me whether it's dark, cloudy, cloudless or  the sky is pale. God's creations are indeed beautiful.  Visit more beautiful sky photos just click on the badge above!

:Looking at the Sky on Friday #91 - Clouds Over Mt. Makiling

Are these forms of mountain familiar to you? Well if you're a Filipino who loves myth stories this one would be perfect for you. Ok for those who don't know this is Mt. Makiling in my hometown Laguna where Maria Makiling was said to be seen in the old times. It was told that the mountain has a form of a woman lying whose name is Maria Makiling, a beautiful nymph as the story told.

Well as exciting as the story was I really don't have any idea as to the real story behind it. Anyway this is the modern world of high tech gadgets and equipment so I will close it as myth for now...

I love sky watching wherever my cam takes me. It makes me very thankful of God's wonderful creations.  Visit more beautiful sky photos just click on the badge above!

I got beautiful sky shot again and this is at Ever Ortigas Mall when we're finally waiting for brother's car coming from parking lot. We were having some talk about the recent birthday games of my nephew's 7th birthday in Jollibee when I noticed this scenic view of the sky above the building. Wow! this is really great for me with those small bird-like clouds and those dark blue rays emanating from clouds seems so nicely put together. Well I just love sky shots and really appreciate scenes like this. Glad to capture this for today's meme. Hope you like it too :-)

This is my shot of the University of Rizal System Morong Campus where I accompanied my friend in taking university entrance examination. I need to use my two-hour idle time so I walk around the campus and took some sky shots for this meme. I also observed that the campus is very wide that it can still accommodate more campus buildings in the future.

It's just unfortunate that Morong is very far from us that studying here is not feasible enough for me, for my kids I mean in the future. It's a one-hour travel without traffic but it's tiring enough for students. It's only possible if the student will stay in boarding house. Anyway I gather from the waiting Moms there that they provide quality education here and with just a small amount of tuition fees. That's good news!

Note: I wasn't able to put my copyright due to some problem in my software but this is an original shot from me.

We were traveling along Bagumbayan near Eastwood to shorten our way from our place to our church when I shot this one. It's early in the morning but the clouds looks quite dark already, actually between good and bad weather. Just love the effect of these clouds atop a townhouse/condo units, looks very perfect there not minding the busy street below. That's the nice part of sky shots you can ignore the scene below and just concentrate on the upper level.

Happy sky watching!Visit more of beautiful sky photos here!
