Improving a Dull Back Porch

I love outdoor space in our house because I get to see nature and get to smell fresh air but I must admit it's not that attractive and sometimes I'm hesitant to let the visitors stay for long.  When we planned that our huge house will be renovated to become duplex homes I also included our terrace or porch to be converted into an outdoor living room.  Since the house will be divided into two I would expect limited space for several visitors so turning the porch into a real entertaining area would somehow solve the issue of space.

It's nice to see some inspirational ideas like the one presented above at hgtv.com which was also featured in HGTV magazine.  You can see that the bare back porch became inviting and beautiful with the addition of comfortable sofa, DIY decors and colorful accessories.  You will think that it's a real indoor living room except that it's obviously located outside the living room.  This will be perfect for entertaining friends and relatives and definitely a good corner for family's bonding.

Backyard Patio Design Ideas

It’s summer again and with the hot weather we love to stay in our patio where we can have fresh air and breathe the smell of fruit bearing trees we have in the backyard. It’s relaxing to stay outdoors where we can have barbecues, play board games or just sit, relax and read some books. Now that the kids are having their break from school we’re thinking of things to do to make their vacation worthwhile. They’re enrolled already in our town’s summer workshop and enjoying their chosen workshop topics. The little boy is learning his beats on the drum and the girls are seriously taking and understanding their piano lessons. On their free time from the workshop they help us with the house chores and review their old books in school.

In the afternoon we stay at the patio and that’s when I thought of looking for some backyard patio design ideas that will enhance our patio for a more comfortable and functional usage. Since it’s the most frequented area in our house we should improve it so we’ll be satisfied when we’re out there in the backyard. We and the kids can invite our friends for a chit chat or picnic together if the patio would have the necessary furniture and designs for an inviting recreational and relaxing spot. I’ve found inspirational ideas from Elemental Gallery and I’m sure it will help me improve patio for a more refreshing outdoor area.

Best Place to Stay

Our patio is the best place to stay when I feel like resting from my tons of work. It offers a relaxing atmosphere for me where I can relax and enjoy peaceful moments. For the whole family we usually play our games there and have some picnic together. It’s the season of summer that we always stay in the patio because it’s so much cooler there in the afternoon. I just want to add some furniture and outdoor lighting so we can be comfortable whenever we’re there. The kids are becoming bigger and the furniture looks smaller for them. For the lights we really need them for security purposes and for additional brightness in our patio.

Modern Outdoor Furniture

Our favorite spot in our place where we relax on the hottest hour of the day is our patio so we thought of renovating it and putting some Patio Furniture for more seating capacity of visitors. We’re doing this in time for the coming birthday of my two kids especially the little boy who will celebrate his 7th birthday on the first week of September. It’s the first place in the house where the visitors would come to so it’s best to make as look and feel good. Yes to feel good because it’s one place in the house aside from bedroom where you can really relax and laze around Outdoor Chaise Lounges so we might as well spend some money on making it cosier and really look nice.

I’ve visited CozyDays and found some Modern Outdoor Furniture that would certainly look nice on our patio. It will blend in our existing furniture there though some of them are not that modern in style. I found out that they have a variety of classic and modern furniture for all types of patio and they speak of high quality products yet inexpensive enough for me to afford it. They carry some nice additional outdoor dining sets, chairs, tables and furniture covers too. Well that’s enough for me to say that they everything one would need to make a relaxing and beautiful patio.
