The Perks of Having Work at Home

I feel so sleepy after lunch time and I know it’s due to tiredness after accompanying my little boy to school every day. It’s not that really tiring o wait for him as I love doing it. I’ve done it with all of my kids when they were in preschool and early grade school but on going to school only because I have my office work then.

Now I have all the time in the world to monitor and check on them and I just made some adjustments on my work-at-home tasks online. If I’m busy in the morning I schedule my blogging on my free hours in the afternoon but if I’m busy the whole day I’ll make all my tasks at night. DH helps me with the chores so there’s no pressure about it. It’s the perk of having an online work-at-home job you can adjust your working time and be very flexible. Thanks God I’m given the chance to be one. Now I can give more time with my family.

Working at Home

It’s getting late again and I know I should be stopping now because as per doctor’s advice I should refrain from working too late at night to restore my strength again. I guess I can’t help it once or twice a week especially if I have too many tasks on due. With the current economic crisis now you’re lucky if you have a stable job, some business that has enough earnings or if you have online job like me. It’s really comfortable to work in your own home and it’s like hitting two birds in one stone and that’s earning good income while taking care of the kids. Just the thought of not having a helper now made me smile because I don’t have to allot funds for them. These days every little expense should be taken in consideration and before indulging in some things we should be wiser in our spending ways.

My Remedy for Tiredness

I’ve been working the whole day through and happy that I’ve accomplished many tasks today both online tasks and my regular household tasks. It’s not that easy to balance managing your blogs and your household that’s why I’m very happy that without any house helper I can do both, of course with lots of support from hubby and my Mom who’s always there for me. Now I’m getting the full grasp of being a work-at-home Mom and I was able to do some adjustments on my time schedule. Like now it’s getting really late and I’m still here in front of my PC doing some visits to my online friends’ sites and advancing some posts for tomorrow.

Sometimes my family asks me where I get my high energy level. I told them that whenever I felt tiredness seeping through my bones I closed my eyes and imagine myself on a beach having some relaxing florida vacation. Of course that’s one of my wishes but a nice vacation in one of the beautiful places here in my country would suffice for me if and when we find time for that as I want my family to be with me.

Rainy Days Makes Me Lazy

Lately the weather is always on the rainy side and I feel lucky enough not to rush against the inevitable traffic when raining. It seems that traffic is the twin of rain showers, suddenly the cars are slowing down and people are rushing in to get transportation. I’ve observed and noticed this occurrence on my several years of traveling to work. I just felt lucky that I don’t have to protect my corporate clothes from being wet and tousled by rain.

Now that I’m here working at home the only problem is getting lazy and violating my discipline on time and work scheduling. And you know if it’s raining I tend to eat more, I know everybody does! I can’t afford to gain more pounds because I’m already on the verge of having excess of it so I have to be very careful with my food intake. I’m talking to myself to have discipline or else I might need be needing products like phentermine diet pills to regulate my weight. As of this writing I can still manage to control my weight not to add more but to shed a little. Hope I’ll manage these coming weeks as I have many activities lined for me in the coming months. I shouldn’t be too plump when I attend meeting and special occasions with former officemates and schoolmates. I still have four months to go.

I want to stay at home during rainy days as it makes me write more quality posts. My only problem is I also want to eat more and be lazy lol! I have many tasks to do but up to this time I only posted one or two, I still have to learn how to be a work at home mom and how to manage my time properly. I'm still a novice you know!

I'll Be a WAHM Soon!

I'm counting my days in my work now as my resignation was approved at last. I've resigned from my job last year in May but was asked by my employer to extend my stay leading my employment to extend up to this time. I've been following up my intended early retirement almost every two months but it was when my Mom suffered temporary blindness that my resignation was considered seriously.

Actually it was a flattering thought that they wouldn't want me to leave my work which lasted for more than sixteen years, I would like to think they like me really that they asked me to think it over and over before deciding finally. My boss even asked me to accept a part-time job of an HR consultant but I told him I can't spare more than two days of my week because my family needed my full time attention now. I was glad that my junior boss allowed me a complete resignation without consultancy or part-time work and just asked me to at least give them a one-month allowance to turn over my work properly.

I would admit I've been losing hope that I will be allowed to resign and my colleagues keep on teasing me that it would take me another year but after my final talk with my senior boss detailing the inner problems I have in my family regarding their need for my full attention my boss understood my situation and accepted my resignation. It was a very happy day for me and though I'm still working and would be in my office for two weeks I can now savor the taste of my freedom from an 8-5 work. By the way I'll still be working but I'll be joining the WAHM work-at-home mommies and will concentrate more on writing in my sites.
