Learning Photography

My daughter loves taking photos just like me, she looks and moves like me and now she does the things I love most. Some says she’s a mini me and I just laughed at the comments because it’s true. She’s asking me to have my camera repaired so she can use it again to take pictures. She also wants to buy stock of batteries for the camera so she will not run out of battery life whenever she’s shooting. I’m actually searching for affordable ones like duracell procell 9V so as not to affect my budget. Photography is kind of expensive when you really make it a hobby and I better learn how to search for competitive prices of my daughter’s photo needs. I really feel that in years to come she’ll be more photoholic than me.

:Looking at the Sky on Friday #88 - Fountain Pool

Photobucket

Just like this shot at the pool with mini fountains around it. I like how the sky and clouds serve as the perfect background for the pool with mini man-made falls and slide. DH is about to slide here and I was waiting for his plunge lol! Btw this pool is for kids and we hang out there because our little boy seem to claim it as his new home lol! He didn't want to go out of the water except when he's hungry.

It's always nice to see scenic view of the sky. Makes me feel and see God's wonderful creations. To visit more beautiful sky photos just click on the badge above!

:Looking at the Sky on Friday #83 - Sky at Picnic Grove

Photobucket

Click the image to see larger view

Sky watching is good at Picnic Grove and if you're like me who is so fond of taking sky shots this is a nice place for you. I actually had 3 dozens of shots which I stored in my photo files for my future posts lol! You can see here my shots in the left wing of Picnic Grove where thousands of meters were allotted for playing, picnic, kite flying and of course sky watching. This is just below the souvenir and dining area.

You'll notice that my shots were the upper and lower shots of the same area. I took a high level area where the sky and clouds are majestically looking down the mountains. While my picture with my kids and church mates were a shot below the mountain. Just point my cam up and down and I had my two shots!

:Looking at the Sky on Friday #82 - Overlooking Laguna Lake

Photobucket

Click the image to see larger view

The sky was so beautiful that this boy chooses to climb the wires to see the sky and lake more clearly without the obstruction of these wire walls not seeing me having a shot of him. He's my nephew and he's with us on my Mom's birthday at the resort. It was nearly 5pm and the sky and clouds were great at that time. The wires are the resort's boundary from Laguna Lake which is a beautiful site also.

:WW - Josh Overlooking Taal Lake

It's his first time to see Taal Lake this close. The last time he was there was when he was just one year old so this is an exciting day for him. He enjoyed the whole day even if it rained most of the day as you can see from the pictures that it's a little blurry. We're there for his Daddy's Discipleship Training. I assisted some of my sister brethren in cooking food for the ministers.

Happy ww even though I'm not wordless :-) Click the badge for more WW entries!

:Looking at the Sky on Friday #80 - Swirling Clouds

Photobucket

Click the image to see larger view

This is a shot at the fields we've traveled from Laguna Lake to home. It was the road leading to floodway and it's a shortcut going home. Travel took us around 40 minutes or less only. I find the clouds and skies very beautiful and captivating in their swirling circular formation and my little boy told me to take a shot as he finds it beautiful too. Guess my kids have grown used to my flair for capturing sky images. They're into photography too as they told me they want to study short course when they are old enough to study.

:Looking at the Sky on Friday #79 - Lake Villa Resort

Photobucket

Click the image to see larger view

This is a shot at Lake Villa Resort where we had our Mom's birthday celebration last Saturday. This shot was taken around 5 in the afternoon so I had the chance to capture the resort and sky near sunset time. I was at the back almost at the front of the lake capturing the view at the front with my two girls on each side of the picture (see the shadowy figures). I really have some fascination about the sky and I love taking tons of shots on them. How about you?

Happy sky watching! More on this villa sky shots next week. To visit more beautiful sky photos just click on the badge above!

:Looking at the Sky on Friday #76: Robinsons' Clubhouse

Photobucket

Click the image to see larger view

It's Friday once again and what I have for this week is my shot of the sky from the Robinson's Homes subdivision view. We attended our dear Iya's christening and after the hustles and bustles of the occasion we went to the village' clubhouse and my kids and niece plunged in. It was the village swimming pool and we only paid a small amount for this as we have a homeowner with us none other than Lister, DH of my niece Heidi.

It was a planned swimming actualy as my kids had me packed swimming clothes one day before the occasion. Kuya Lister as they called him promised them that he will accompany them to their clubhouse. As there were still some visitors in the house I told Lister to go back to the house and I'll take care of everything. I didn't swim so I can monitor my kids full time no other things in mind and as I sit on the bench overlooking my kids 3 meters away from me I took the chance to sky watch and took some beautiful shots. We enjoyed the day and my kids were so happy and contented.

I got beautiful sky shot again and this is at Ever Ortigas Mall when we're finally waiting for brother's car coming from parking lot. We were having some talk about the recent birthday games of my nephew's 7th birthday in Jollibee when I noticed this scenic view of the sky above the building. Wow! this is really great for me with those small bird-like clouds and those dark blue rays emanating from clouds seems so nicely put together. Well I just love sky shots and really appreciate scenes like this. Glad to capture this for today's meme. Hope you like it too :-)

This is my shot of the University of Rizal System Morong Campus where I accompanied my friend in taking university entrance examination. I need to use my two-hour idle time so I walk around the campus and took some sky shots for this meme. I also observed that the campus is very wide that it can still accommodate more campus buildings in the future.

It's just unfortunate that Morong is very far from us that studying here is not feasible enough for me, for my kids I mean in the future. It's a one-hour travel without traffic but it's tiring enough for students. It's only possible if the student will stay in boarding house. Anyway I gather from the waiting Moms there that they provide quality education here and with just a small amount of tuition fees. That's good news!

Note: I wasn't able to put my copyright due to some problem in my software but this is an original shot from me.

:BM/MYM/RT: Musicians at Work!

MellowYellowMondayBadge

I love paintings and I like looking at them always. I'm lucky enough that in my previous job there are some beautiful painting around our office which satisfy my eyes everyday. When I decided to resign and took an early (young) retirement to work at home I'm quite happy that I took photos of all my fave paintings for remembrance :-). This is one of those paintings and I like this because it depicts musicians while they're playing their instruments. I love the combination of blue, yellow, red and some other colors. The blue background is just perfect! This is where I love to have my shots taken, anyway it's located at our conference room.

My shot here was taken when I visited my former office and was happy to cross for the first time the long awaited overpass bridge that we prayed would push through. It was completed months after I left my work and it was just last week when I had the time to visit my office mates. I also had to arrange something for my tax refund.

Anyway this shot was aimed to feature the clouds over Eastwood City, a very busy place for business offices mostly call center companies, international banks and malls. It also has spendid restos and fast food chains. Sometimes I miss seeing this view from the glass of our office building. It was a sight I always see when we're at our conference room. Miss the view dearly but not the work lol!

:MYM/RT - Our Fave Bucket Meal

MellowYellowMondayBadge

Here's my family's fave kfc bucket meal which is always their choice when we stopped by to celebrate something or just stopped by to eat. This is after my little boy's graduation where his two Ate were not available to go with us and we decided to drop by their school after. Josh and gen love sponge bob and not only that but the meals also. We had some additions of chicken fillet sandwiches and kfc's new chewy cheese for my girls' snacks in school. See plenty of yellow and red colors here perfect for the memes!

A refreshing sight to see. This is my shot of the coconut plantation with beautiful sky and clouds as its majestical background. This is one of my shots at Villa Dominga Forest Resort and I can say it's nice skywatching there because there are no obstruction there - no cables, no wires and no passersby :-). It's Friday again and I'm greeting my friends at Latsof because I didn't participated last week. I was in summer camp meeting from Thursday to Friday last week with my family and church brethren.

TC - Small Animals - Ducks

for fun and learning

"SMALL ANIMALS" (Pets, Insects, Birds,...)

Lazily sitting on the grassWalking and looking for something :-)

Got these four ducks for my entry this week. I've noticed these 4 ducks outside the kitchen of our quarters in our summer camp fellowship. They always go in four, they sit together, they walk together and never missing one duck when they go. They seem to be friends as they never leave each other. The four ducks stayed together the whole day and it made me take a shot on them.

Got another entry here! For more 'small animals' themed photos click the title badge

:MYM/RT- The Graduates

MellowYellowMondayBadge

Here are my two graduating kids this March in their picture together four years ago. Ruth will graduate from Grade VI and Josh from preparatory school. They look so young and different in their picture here. Just looking at Ruth makes me treasure this picture of her with the cute full smile posing with her little brother which she always seem to joke and want to tease up to the point that he'll cry! Most of the times they disagree with many things maybe because of the age gap. Josh tends to be closer to Ate Gen who likes to play toys for the boys with him.

Now that Ruth is 12 and Josh is 6 they seem to get along well for months now and I'm so happy because the house is in peace with the three kids playing together in Y8 games hahaha! No worry about overplaying as I've set their playing schedule this summer, with limits of course!

I'll post their graduation pics on April :-)

This is the view from my MIL's house in Montalban, the area is just across them. You'll notice that I posted almost similar shots but it's actually a sequence of shots. First I took a complete shot but when I noticed the cables on the left I took another shot but I think the first shot is a lot better than the 2nd one because the sky sight is complete while the 2nd one was cut off because of protruding wires. Anyway both shots were able to capture the beauty of the sunset sky.

:WW -Knock Knock!

Knock! Knock! Josh was probably puzzled what could be inside the large white shells. He knocked to see if there's some little creature inside. We've been to JennyL's house and this is their garden where the little boy here wants to roam and play around. He's really very inquisitive at times and asks questions that will make your nose bleed lol! He's going to be at the primary school next school year and we're all waiting to see what this little charmer will be up to.
