As I grew up with a mother who is known for being such an excellent home economics grade school teacher I was trained early in home making. I was actually one of my Mom's students in my primary home economics subject and tried my best to excel to make her proud of me. Anyway best or not my Mom is always proud of us and all my best efforts are stars to her. She taught me the best techniques in crocheting, stitching, basic sewing, cooking and home decoration with our home room looking like a real home with all the rooms in there.

My Mom made her homeroom area a complete home with living room, bedroom, dining and kitchen rooms. A part of it was used for our classroom and display area for the chosen finished projects. One of the things that I really liked about the subject is home decorating where she taught us on how to choose the right vases and some ceramics to fit in the room perfectly. Choosing the Right School for Your Kids' Education

I believe in good education and we spend quite a precious amount to fund our kids’ school fees to ensure they get the best school. Well maybe not the most prestigious and expensive school but a Christian school that will give them not just quality education but encourages inclination to arts and music aside from inculcating love for God. All my kids love playing musical instruments and aside from the summer classes in our municipality I never enrolls them in expensive music school. They learn from our church music ministry and from their own perseverance in learning.

Well we came from a family who plays Alfa, violin and some other musical instruments and it’s in this history and genes that I think my kids got their inclination and talents. I myself love it but not lucky enough to spend time in learning due to some circumstances in life. I love saxophone the most as it gives me relaxing tones but none of my kids tried this one.

When I saw tuba in my regular site for searching musical instruments I told my little boy that I would love seeing him play such kind. He grinned and told me that he would love to do it not just for me but for his satisfaction as well. Since he’s just a little boy now I reckon I’ll be counting some more years before that would manifest.

Completing His Collection for the New Music Room

As part of my friend’s home improvement program on his place he created a music room solely made to house his collection of musical instruments and equipment in recording music. He started a personal recording of his own music when he retired from his work abroad and now he wants a special room for all his music things. 

Now he’s having his eyes on some affordable studio headphones at musicians friend as he believes that he can collect quality branded accessories at a price that he can afford. Looking for Nice Home Ideas

I have been thinking of our own home improvement for our place not only for making it beautiful but for preparation for the coming rainy season as well. We want to elevate the house by around one meter and change the second flooring from hardwood to slab. Tools to Help us on Emergency Situations

I always sit on the front of our car whenever we travel on short and long distances because DH wants me to assist him while he drives. He also wants me to be by his side when he’s tired and to keep him company on long boring journeys when the kids get asleep at the passenger seat. Since we need to protect ourselves and it’s also a traffic regulation we should put on our seatbelt always. 

Well there are people who didn’t want to follow but for me it’s best to follow and make it a habit for safety purposes. I’m glad that there’s a seatbelt cutter when my seatbelt’ buckle stuck up. Sometimes I’m not really comfortable with it so when buckle jams it’s really too much for me. I’m still looking for ways on how to adjust and be comfortable with our seatbelt because anyway I really need it at the front seat.

Love for Music Runs in the Blood

When it’s summer vacation students are finding something that they can be busy about like playing sports, board games, enrolling in summer and specialized courses, learning how to swim, vacationing and many other things. But you know what my own kids are doing? They’re playing variety of musical instruments not just to learn every bits and pieces but enjoying it as well. 

Since they have flute, lyre, keyboard and guitar they can switch from one instrument to another. They’re really fun with learning guitar with constant teasing that I should buy another one just like the types of exciting kramer bass guitar that they get to see online. I told them to practice well and if they’ll play on our church activities and fellowship I’ll save again for a better guitar for them. They’re very fond of music just like my brother’s kids who plays all kinds of musical instruments. It really runs in the blood.

Youth Participating in Music Ministry

Our church ministers and youth involved in the music ministry will have their practice on Sunday afternoon and it will also include training our young members who are interested in music particularly those who wants to play musical instruments. Well my kids are all interested but the most enthusiastic one is my daughter Gen who plays both keyboard and guitar. 

Our head minister in-charge in the music ministry told her to concentrate more on playing piano or keyboard because there’s no one in the youth who is interested in that particular musical instrument and being a lady it’s best for her to play the piano. Well my two other kids would also want to play piano and drums but it will take some time to train them. 

Our music ministry is also doing some inventory on needed instruments, accessories or repair replacement for the existing musical instruments. They’re also looking into a drum pad from musicians friend if we could afford it. Since it’s crucial to have instruments in perfect working condition during our praising song it’s always a must to check their condition if they’re still good or need some repair or replacement. We’re glad that the music ministry head is always doing some inspection together with his co-instrumentalist.
