:Looking at the Sky on Friday #44- Coca Cola

Photobucket

We were in Josh' educational tour when I snapped a photo of this giant can of softdrinks. The Coca Cola factory was not one of our itinerary but the tour guide explained to the kids what the factory plant is for. I took this picture through the bus' glass windows, glad the shot is clear enough even when the glass windows is tinted. Just find the color of the skies in the background so blue and beautiful.

Happy Friday! Visit more of beautiful sky photos here!

Easy Shopping Online

It’s been a busy week for us as we were cleaning the mess brought about by the recent storm that caused flooding in Metro Manila and nearby provinces. We were all shocked that this severe flooding happened in our place as this is the first time that waters have reached to 5 ft. level inside our house. Now people in our community were left with mud, soiled clothes, nearly junk appliances and wet documents.

We were lucky enough to have second floor in the house where I saved all my rescued things from the ground floor of our house. I just had to buy new shoes for my kids as the texture is a little moist from inside. I feel so tired because I had few sleepless nights due to blackout that run for 5 days. Now that we have electricity and internet connection I can do my shopping online. It feels good that I can buy my kids’ shoes in the comfort of my home without having to run to the nearest department store.

I’m glad that I discovered it years ago where I buy what I need for my house and family online. Very convenient indeed! Imagine finding not just my personal things but my son’s school shoes but my daughter’s bike shoes as well.
It’s what I’ll call shopping made easy. I know all women love shopping and they risk the pain in their feet hopping from one store to another just to look and buy what they need. Thanks to Shopwiki as they seek every store in the net making them available to shoppers through their site. So if you need something for your family like me who found a good bike shoes sale, a starchild navy blue leather bike shoes which is just right for my daughter with soft leather suede sole for comfort and elasticated ankle.

Metabolism and Discipline

I’ve been searching about the metabolism of human because I heard from a friend several years back that when we reach 30 years of age we’ll have slower metabolism than before. The fact is the faster the metabolism is the least we can retain those fatty foods we eat. The slower the metabolism is the more possibility of getting fat.

Now that I’m fast 30 years of age I know that I will easily gain excess pounds if I eat more of fatty foods so I’m starting a healthy meal plan now before I turned into an elephant lol! Of course I will not let myself became obese. At present I’m not comfortable with my weight because I easily get tired. Since I can’t just take diet pills like apidexin without consulting our family doctor I think I’ll just resort to disciplining myself on my food intake.

Enchanted with the Lights

Before the storm Josh and I had the chance to join St. Audry Learning Center’s educational tour. We visited Philippine Airforce Museum, Bio Research and Enchanted Kingdom. Josh enjoyed every point of our trip but he loved Enchanted Kingdom’s place the most. Even I loved the whole architecture of the place as it resembles and built like a kingdom or palace. It’s great for photo enthusiasts like me; actually I had more than 200 shots.

The place has fantastic fountains, exciting rides, lovely nooks, pretty souvenirs and beautiful indoor and outdoor lighting. Lights are everywhere but it’s loveliest at the carousel, the reason why kids and adults were enchanted to ride. It was a happy and educational day for Josh that he felt sad when it’s time to go home.

Caring for our Clothes

The storm and flood has caused us damage in our appliances and car but we thanked God that we’re all safe from the killer flood that hit Metropolitan area and nearby Rizal towns. Now we’re sorting our things and saving those that that can still be use. I was glad that I was able to save my computer set, important documents and clothes though during our transfer from first to second floor some of our clothes fell down the flooded area. I was thinking that if those clothes were of high class textile, barong or tuxedos it might not be restored to original form. I learned that some clothes should be given extra care and attention in washing, ironing and storing or else it might not be used again. Anyway during storm or period of crisis the essential things are human safety, clean dinking water and food to survive. We should also pray hard to God and ask for His protection

Network that Never Fails

Until now we still don’t have electricity here in our place and I just crossed another town and used my friend’s PC to finish some due online tasks. I sadly missed a handful of my online assignments because of the recent storm that flooded Metro Manila and Eastern Rizal. I just hope that those companies will understand my situation.

During the first day of storm that shocked us all because of the sudden rise of water the foods that we successfully brought in the upper floor were just few rice cakes, water and hot drinks. These foods were our only supplies from lunch to dinner, everything we have in the house were left downstairs including our cooker. Anyway appetite was far from my mind then and I don’t have to think of weight loss pills that work because I was eating scarcely. How can I have appetite when I see the water rising very fast and people were all running for safe grounds?

My hubby and sister were stranded and communication was lost. There was no network and signals except the network to God. Prayer is always welcome and signals never ceases. The only thing that gives me strength is the thought that God will never leave us come what may. I hold on to that thought the whole night. I didn’t sleep that night; I just prayed and talked to God.
