Rainy Days Makes Me Lazy

Lately the weather is always on the rainy side and I feel lucky enough not to rush against the inevitable traffic when raining. It seems that traffic is the twin of rain showers, suddenly the cars are slowing down and people are rushing in to get transportation. I’ve observed and noticed this occurrence on my several years of traveling to work. I just felt lucky that I don’t have to protect my corporate clothes from being wet and tousled by rain.

Now that I’m here working at home the only problem is getting lazy and violating my discipline on time and work scheduling. And you know if it’s raining I tend to eat more, I know everybody does! I can’t afford to gain more pounds because I’m already on the verge of having excess of it so I have to be very careful with my food intake. I’m talking to myself to have discipline or else I might need be needing products like phentermine diet pills to regulate my weight. As of this writing I can still manage to control my weight not to add more but to shed a little. Hope I’ll manage these coming weeks as I have many activities lined for me in the coming months. I shouldn’t be too plump when I attend meeting and special occasions with former officemates and schoolmates. I still have four months to go.

: Photohunt 172 : Entertainment (Clowns)

One way of entertaining children on birthday parties is to hire clowns like them. See how they entertain, assist kids on games, make them laugh and make them joyful and happy. They do some tricks and magic along the way which makes parties a really exciting one to attend to. This shot was taken last March of this year during one of my kids' friend birthday party. They had fun with the clowns, actually Josh has some poses with them, see!

Call Center Predictive Dialing Systems

I worked for a telecommunications company for more than 6 years and spent my stay there handling carrier settlement, billing and collection, human resource and administrative functions. It’s more like a multi-tasking job as I grow with the company, I’ve been there since it started even while I was employed in its sister company. My boss let me handled two companies and after sometime he legally transferred me to his telecoms’ company. Well I was happy then because the location of my new office is great and easy to travel.

My years spent in BT&T were years spent in learning telecommunications’ business, it’s not hard for me as I’m a graduate of Computer Engineering. I learned the craft easily with the help of my colleagues entering the field of accounting and at the same reviewing my education in communications technology. We have equipment and program packages to learn and I was glad to know all of those things as it helped me grow intellectually, you know work experiences are always a welcome thing for me. Actually it’s kind of exciting at first as we have VoIP termination, prepaid cards, direct inward dialing and many others.

We have gateway equipment and some telco systems like administrative systems for gateway management and equipment for our call center catering to America-based Filipinos like call center predictive dialing systems which helps a lot in our outbound call management. Our customer service managers used it for easy and quick access to information needed for our clients and their interaction with them. It’s very ideal for managing the usual volume of inquiring and applying customers. It’s very ideal for telecom companies’ outbound call service and we managed everything we need through this system. My boss really liked this system because we’ve gained improvement from it from customer service assistance to agent productivity up to reduced administration costs. Who wouldn’t be happy if something like this improve your call management and at the same time reduced some costs in the company expenses?

BT Paintball

What’s this I’m hearing from my male friends about national paintball game in the world? Some of them are really playing this game and have owned at least one bt paintball gun, you knows boys will always be boys and they want this game so much! They even sign up for the newsletter for updated information. This will be on the 8th of this month and as early as now they’re so excited

They told me it’s going be real fun and exciting as it’s the first worldwide event and there’ll be plenty of players who will play in one game. Of course coinciding with the exciting game are also good prize giveaways. Actually some just want to play this game even if they will not be able to bring home prizes. Go online now and get informed of their event details and updates. I’m sure most of my friends are really interested with this thing so I gave them the site for them to search, find and browse about.

Looking at the Sky on Friday - Sierra Madre

Photobucket

We've visited my Mom's hometown in Famy, Laguna to pay our last visit to her brother. The weather in Laguna is always on the rainy side in the afternoon. I guess I just had some luck on this shot as the sky is somehow clear here over the top of Sierra Madre mountain. I took a shot on this scenery as this photo relaxes me and a warm remembrance of my uncle's view from his house. Yes I took the shot from his house, beautiful isn't it?

Imagine waking up in the morning seeing this scene of rice fields, mountain and beautiful clouds and sky. Actually we've lived here for several years before we transferred to my father's hometown in Rizal. After moving to where we are now we just visit our close relatives occassionally or when we want to have some vacation. We left when I was 7 years old and I still miss this scene from our beautiful town.

Vacation in Santa Monica Beach

What a great way to spend your free time away from the bustling city of your work and the common view of your homes. We all love our homes but you can’t really take your full time relaxation and rest there because some of the visitors may suddenly came in or some other household problems may arise. It’s best to have your vacation elsewhere away from workplace and home no matter how peaceful your community is. Just a thought of spending a week by the beachfront house makes me shiver with excitement. I’m imagining some really nice place like Santa Monica Beach Hotel which my friend keeps telling me about. She happened to browse on it online while searching for nice places to stay on vacation. Of course for busy people like us and internet savvy too we always look for something online. It saves us time and a lot of effort.

We all know that continuous working with no vacation at all will stress us and it can’t be cured just by resting or sleeping at home. Too much pressure, anxiety and stress can cause sickness so we better take some break off our work to relax, enjoy and bask in the glorious sun over the beach. You can do it at book a Santa Monica Beach Accommodations to experience the excitement, adventure and a real vacation package. There are many tourist spots there and you’ll enjoy facilities like shops, restaurants, parks, art galleries, museums, theaters, gyms, and many others just for the tourists’ convenience.

I’m very happy to visit their site as I got some detailed info about Santa Monica, a very beautiful place along the bay. It’s good learning some other country’s history, businesses, community and all things that made it a very nice place to stay on your vacation. I’ll have to tell my Auntie in California that they can spend few days here when they want a beach place to stay for a few days. She’ll be happy to know that it’s just a few hours drive from her place.

:WW - Nutrition Day Slogans

'You should prepare the right nutritional food to have strong body
and to prevent sickness'
'Kids should not be deprived of proper nutrition'
'Eat plenty of vegetables for a stronger immune system' 'We should prepare nutrition foods to our dining table like fruits,
vegetables, fish and meat to help us combat lifestyle disease'To prevent sickness and hospital expenses we should not
deprive our family with proper nutritional foods'The good future of our kids start with proper nutrition'

Today is family day and nutrition day in my daughters' school, since I'm a PTA officer in Gen's 5th grade class and now have free time I joined their parade and cooking competition which I'll post later. Meanwhile I just posted here the slogans of each grade level from 1st grade to 6th grade each having an assigned color (per grade level). I enjoyed the whole morning starting from the parade up to PTA officers' cooking fest. My daughter Gen was assigned in their journalism group to take pictures and notes of this school event. I helped her with it.

Happy WW though I'm every inch Wordfull! Visit more entries here.

Security for Your Files

Being employed for several years doing IT and telecommunication works made me aware of how I should maintain my PC in the best working condition. I always see to it that my office computer is devoid of any virus attacking my files and documents. Of course it’s a daily maintenance and sometimes it’s hard to maintain it when others use it. We were given a memorandum of all sorts which includes using only your own PC to avoid getting viruses in the process. Our software specialist maintains our internet security and he always come up with good software maintenance to avoid hackers from invading our network connections.

With regards to our precious office files in our PC we see to it that there are updates on antivirus to prevent loss of important files. After all it’s not that easy to recover damaged files so we take precautionary measures before it’s too late. For my usage I want a good antivirus, the one that will detect and cure possible viruses that may damage if not totally disintegrate our PC.

These days there are so many spyware and hackers who want to invade the confidentiality of emails and the privacy of instant messaging. With this in mind a good anti spyware like that of ZSecurity should be carefully maintained to prevent these people from getting your personal information and confidential documents. Hackers can do serious harm to precious documents if they’ve succeeded in sweeping all your documents so better be cautious and careful.
