Review Week

I just finished preparing things for the swimming and will start working on my tasks now. I actually prepared fewer clothes and food because we’ll not bring the kids along. They don’t want to be absent from school because it’s their review week. Next week will be their periodical exams. I value education so much that I instilled in my kids’ mind never to take for granted their learning days. I asked them if they want to come but they refused because it’s hard to ask permission from their school if reasons are not that urgent and they don’t want to miss anything from the review. Teachers usually give related questions from the reviewed questionnaires so it’s an advantage for the students.

Investment Ideas

I’ve been talking to my friend in my kid’s school and she’s so happy that her daughters have stable jobs now. She experienced some financial problems in the past which made her work hard to help her husband who found himself out of job for several months. The husband was able to get freelance job but it was not enough for the schooling kids. Now my friend is so happy that her husband and elder kids have permanent jobs and there’s no need for her work hard. In fact she’s not working for about two years now and she’s only taking care of her family’s needs.

We’re talking our usual friends’ chit chat when I told her about the good value of gold coin and some investment ideas on it. I learned that we can expect higher returns of capital on precious metals like gold, silver and platinum so we might as well think about the good possibilities of buying them. Well the price is too high for us now but who knows? We might have a chance to afford those valuable investments in the future.

Hurrying Up!

I’m hurrying up now because in three hours we’ll be going to our midweek bible study. I’m amazed at how I’ve finished half of my pending tasks that will be due later after midnight. The words are overflowing my mind and I’m pretty confident that I can do marathon blogging. Blessing of outpouring tasks has come again and I was lucky to grab plenty for all of my blogs. I keep telling myself to relax and don’t panic even if I only have today to do all my due tasks because we’re heading off to Calamba to celebrate our Pastor’s birthday in one of the resorts there. I hope before 5 this afternoon I will be able to complete my tasks or I’ll be doing them before our service will drop by here.

TheThought Bubble Test

Your Thoughts Are Emotional

It often seems like you think with your heart instead of your head. Passion is often clouding that brain of yours.
It's hard for you to be aware of your own thoughts, and you find yourself acting before you think things through.

Your thoughts often overwhelm other people, and they sometimes overwhelm you. You tend to say whatever is on your mind.
You react quickly and change your mind just as fast. You're always thinking about something!

I must admit I can be emotional sometimes but I’m not so hard headed at all.  I’m really a heart over head person but I have the ability to balance my feelings and emotions to arrive at the best decision.  I’m a mixed personality person but decision making is very important to me, planning is my forte and contrary to the test I think many times before I do things which is quite the opposite of my dear husband who is an impulse person.  When he thinks it over for a few minutes he’ll do it in the next minute.  I say what I think and what’s on my mind, a very frank person and avoid plastic personality on people.  But the most that this test is right about is that I’m really thinking about something.

Education and Investment

We’ve been lazily conversing about the possible college courses that Ruth will want to take after four years when she finished secondary education. I think she’ll be good in Media Arts, Advertising or IT Courses. I can see in her a good future in those fields but I told her she can take any course that she feels would make her dreams come true. Now she really enjoys the changes in her life when she entered high school. She experience lots of changes and she’s very happy about it. Education is becoming more fun and exciting for her.

I’m glad about that because education is a key to everyone’s success and I would want my kids to finish their studies up to college. That way hubby and I will feel satisfied and secured that our kids will have something in them that no man can steal. It’s like having a sure investment like gold coins that appreciates value throughout the years. You’ll feel secured that no matter what happened you’ll have your returns from your capital. Precious metals increase in values over the years so when you have them in storage or safe bank deposit you’ll soon be reaping profits. That’s the way education and good investment relates to each other.

The Cross

When we have our problems sometimes we think that we're the most unfortunate human in this world.  We pity ourselves and blame others for what happened in our lives.  We asked God why He's giving it all to us and not on others.  We see others as better and luckier with their wealth, beauty, intelligence and success.  This should not be our thinking because we all have our cross to carry.  What differs is how we carry it meaning it's how we carry our problems and what approach are we applying to solve it.  God is testing us in His unique and caring ways that He's giving us some trials to make us stronger and more closer to Him.  Here's one story that I'd like to share with you, hope it will give you some inspirations.

A young man was at the end of his rope, seeing no way out, he dropped to his knees in prayer "Lord, I can't go on," he said. "I have too heavy a cross to bear."

The Lord replied, "My son, if you can't bear its weight, just place your cross inside this room.

Then, open that other door and pick out any cross you wish."

The man was filled with relief and said, "Thank you Lord," and he did as he was told. Upon entering the other room, he saw many crosses; some so large the tops were not visible. Then, he spotted a tiny cross leaning against a far wall.

"I'd like that one, Lord," he whispered. The Lord replied, "My son, that is the cross you just brought in."

When life's problems seem overwhelming, it helps to look around and see what other people are coping with. You may consider yourself far more fortunate than you imagined.

YOUR CROSS

Whatever your cross
Whatever your pain
There will always be sunshine
After the rain
Perhaps you may stumble
Perhaps even fall
But God's always there
To help you through it all

Health Information Helps

I’m currently working on my new health blog which I think is very much needed to give some health tips, info and guidance to people who might somehow find a need to read such kind. I’m very much aware that this generation is not only experiencing great innovations but modern sicknesses as well. It’s a tragic reality that in spite of modern technology and great wisdom of man many people now experience deadly sickness like cancer. We had some cases in our family and I believe that knowing the symptoms, prevention and possible cure for the disease can help in preventing the occurrence of deadly diseases. People should try to learn and study some Health Facts to help in understanding the factors that may cause such diseases.

Visiting sites that give information about the common killer diseases like lung cancer, breast cancer and others can educate and inform us what we should avoid and what to do to prevent us from getting vulnerable to sickness. I just learned about fatigue from lung cancer, factors that cause it and how to cope with it. Cancer is a very dangerous disease that must be cured immediately at the first stages because there are possible chances of surviving it at the first onset. Try to visit healthfacts4u.com and you’ll learn some helpful advice necessary to prevent, cure and live with this disease.

:Looking at the Sky on Friday #88 - Fountain Pool

Photobucket

Click the image to see larger view

Just like this shot at the pool with mini fountains around it. I like how the sky and clouds serve as the perfect background for the pool with mini man-made falls and slide. DH is about to slide here and I was waiting for his plunge lol! Btw this pool is for kids and we hang out there because our little boy seem to claim it as his new home lol! He didn't want to go out of the water except when he's hungry.

It's always nice to see scenic view of the sky. Makes me feel and see God's wonderful creations. To visit more beautiful sky photos just click on the badge above!

Clean and Safe Environment for Our Kids

We really must have some repair and renovation in the house as I keep on telling on my other posts because some of the areas in the house need repainting and two rooms in the upper floors need to have floor replacement. My sister and I are saving for it and targeting the end of this month to materialize our plans. Before the renovation and repainting my brother reminded us to have lead test kits to check everything that may cause lead poisoning. We really must take all precautions regarding health and safety in our homes to ensure clean and safe environment for our kids to live in.

Recovered from Last Year’s Loss

How I love to have some house make over and buy those modern furniture I’ve seen online while doing some posts for my home blog. After the flood that hit our town last year we gave away some of our home decors and furniture that were affected by immersion in water. We didn’t want to repair them so we just disposed them in order to clear the house of unused appliances, furniture and other things. I’m happy that we’ve recovered around 90% now and if I would buy that furniture we’ll completely forget about what happened last year because we will not able to see our worn-out house things.
