Making the World a Better Place

If a person is determined to reach whatever goal he may have he can really make it come true. I admired people who have the perseverance to achieve their objectives in life especially if it involves not their personal lives but of others. It takes some kind-hearted people to use their wealth to extend it to help other people and make other lives better. Sometimes success and wealth makes people forget about others who were less fortunate than them. This does not applied to Jesse Willms because despite of having successful companies and reaching the height of his professional career he transformed himself to being a world-class philanthropist.

Being Internet marketing professional didn’t prevent him from reaching out to charitable organizations. He happily started helping out various charities after heading the challenge and call of very successful Bill Gates and Warren Buffett to use the money to make the world a better place. His answer to that call is an equal challenge to his staff to help him reach his goal and they did it ahead of their target time. Jesse Willms & Co. donates $25,000 each to 4 well-known charities such as The Breast Cancer Research Fund, The Nevada YMCA, Boston Children’s Hospital and The Gulf Oil Restoration Fund.

His remarkable determination guided his life as he started out very young at 16 with buy and sell computer business which expanded to launching internet companies after 6 years. He has been helping out charities then but his first was sponsoring 100 children in World Vision children’s charity. He’s really into helping out others to make their lives better too like him. Now that he has helped in making those charitable organizations pushed their projects I know that many lives especially the less fortunate ones will be better. Our world will be a better place to live if people like him will extend their helping hands to the needy.

:Looking at The Sky on Friday#98: Seaside Bay

Photobucket

This shot may look very dark but it's only after 5 in the afternoon here at the seaside bay at Mall of Asia.  I was trying to catch the sunset but my battery was losing its charge so I didn't get a clearer shot.  I was happy at my shot though a bit dark it's still magical to look.  I was seeing some college friends here and hubby accompanied me.  He's the one who told me to take a shot at the beautiful sight.  Wish I had an earlier and  closer shot. Hubby promised me we'll come back with the kids and I can have more beautiful shots.

I love sky watching wherever my cam takes me whether it's dark, cloudy, cloudless or  the sky is pale. God's creations are indeed beautiful.  Visit more beautiful sky photos just click on the badge above!

The Natural Way

It’s nice to feel the sweat coming out of your body while giving your best to do all required movements for workout. I’ve consumed 3 glasses of water while working out and it seems that it just passes through me and it never quenched my thirst. I’m glad that I finally took hold of what I should be doing for myself and not just asked if thermogenic is effective. I have my own natural way of getting rid of my excess pounds and I’d like to try it first before giving in to using diet pills. I know that in due time I can go back to my slimmer form and be as healthy as always.

Returned to Healthy Habit

I’m into getting healthy now and started my healthy diet plan of eating regularly but less fat and rice. My meals consist of full breakfast, regular lunch with 2 kinds of fruits and very light dinner without rice, 2-3 varieties of fruits and eaten very early at night. I may not need hoodia diet pills because I’m now getting used to my meal plan with more veggies and fruits. I also started out my workout exercise few days ago.

I’ve been feeling a little weak last month due to hectic schedule and lack of rest. My busy schedule forced me to work late evening up to dawn and to eat more because it’s hard to stay awake long without any food. It’s the food or favorite coffee drinks that helped me to finish my tasks and to stay awake. I know it’s not healthy to eat at midnight but I didn’t have much choice. But when I started to feel sickly I returned to my healthy habit again and that’s my healthy meal plan, regular exercise and minimum of 6 hours sleep. I hope I can keep it up.

Solution to Bankruptcy

With the present economic crisis now there are families who are experiencing financial predicament. You’re lucky if you don’t have debts, loans or properties under mortgage payments because it will add up to financial crisis if you have. Sometimes financial crisis reached up to the extent that it will make a family bankrupt or homeless because of foreclosures. If you’re in the same dilemma as I have mentioned you can still keep your property over an extended period if you get legal services like Steigerwalt Law Firm which offers relief from stress of bankruptcy and foreclosures.

They can help you with their free debt evaluation and in making decisions about financial matters. You can avail their San Diego Chapter 13 where the debtor is allowed to keep their properties if they enter into an agreement to repay creditors in 3 to 5 years. In this case you’ll not be forced to pay in full because it will be reduced in court and you have to consolidate your debt into a lighter, easier manageable repayment plan. This way you can keep your properties as long as you’re paying your plan and you’re protected by court for the whole agreed period.

:Looking at The Sky on Friday#97: Mall of Asia

Click the image to enlarge

This is a shot at the seaside Mall of Asia where the sun is beginning to set.  You can see a pale sky here with  scattered clouds in contrast with the grand look of the mall. It's about 5pm when  DH and I arrived and since it's our first time to go there we had  some pics taking before entering the big mall.  I have some hesitations in going to MOA because it's standing from a man-made land only and as such it's a weak structure and a danger to earthquake, just my opinion!  Well I like it because the stores are great and the restaurants are everywhere.  I like seeing wide variety of restaurants to choose from as I love trying out new restaurants.

We had some pizza and pasta at Sbarro and had a full dinner with college close friends at Aling Tonyang’s Restaurant at the seaside. It was pure enjoyment and memorable day with best college buddies.

I love sky watching wherever my cam takes me whether tit's cloudy, cloudless or  the sky is pale. God's creations are indeed beautiful.  Visit more beautiful sky photos just click on the badge above!

Value of Signatures

In my little boy’s school every assignment and project they do at home must be signed by a guardian or parent. If there’s no signature from us the assignments would not be checked and counted. I like the system implemented by the school because the parents would be forced into attending to their kids’ homework. I don’t know how they arrived at this regulation but in my son’s preparatory school I heard some cases of busy parents not being able to look into their kid’s school assignments. So I guess this is one way of bonding the parents with their kids and I certainly approve it.

Well speaking of signatures I remember having my boss’ signatures on all pages of our bidding documents which is one of the requirements of our client. One officemate joked about having custom rubber stamps bearing our boss’ signature to sign on those documents to simplify things. Of course that’s not allowed as original signatures are really required for bidding and technical proposal documents. I know that’s part of authenticating that the submitted documents are verified by the company’s President.

My First Week of Workout Plan

I’ve been working so hard for the past several months and it lead me to unhealthy eating and sleeping habit. I need to stay awake after midnight hours so I also have to eat as well. That’s how I gained too much excess pounds and almost given me breathing difficulty last month. I started feeling sick a month ago for no reason at all. My doctor told me that I gained too much weight and I should shed off some pounds if I want to stay healthy. He also suggested having regular exercise because being healthy also means being fit. That’s when I started thinking of my health, my body and how I should discipline myself on following my healthy meal and workout plan. I learned a long time ago that in order to be healthy and fit you should have discipline and patience. Without these two traits losing weight will only be a dream.

Now I’m into my 4th day of doing my aerobics, cardio exercises and some other workout routines and I feel great! It’s only hard on the first day when you’re starting up but little by little I have grown to love every minute of it. I started with a 10-minute workout then I increased it with 10 minute a day and now I’m doing a 40-minute combination of aerobics and workout exercises. I have set my goals and I know with my perseverance and discipline I’ll be able to achieve it. I also found specific workout routine at Fitclick.com where you can choose specific workout per body parts like chest, thighs, shoulders, biceps, triceps, back and abs.

Now I’m more particular with cardio workout and strength training routine because I want to be real healthy and fit. Fit Click also provides power tools needed to help me perform the workout and stay in shape. With their workout routines, exercise videos, calorie counter and food journal I know I’m on my way to losing excess weight and be fit and healthy as well.

Greenhouse Kits for All-Weather Garden

I grew up having a nice flower and plant garden in the front yard and vegetable garden in the backyard. Our soil was so rich you can grow anything you want that’s why until now we’re one of the few compounds here in our town who still maintains fruit trees growing abundantly. We’re lucky that we have the space full of plants and trees where we can breathe fresh air anytime. My Mom has a green thumb that’s why everything that she plants it will surely grow. Even on her golden years she still maintains her garden which I sometimes supply with my imported flowers from different places I go. It’s not an international importation just from the provinces and towns I’ve been through.

This is what my sister-in-law is missing in her place in Trent because they don’t have the year-round good season for growing plants. Years ago she told me that they maintain Greenhouse just to have her plants longer because it protects plants, flowers and vegetable from the elements that may affect them all year round. It will be a waste of time if your precious garden will just be wiped away with storm, gusty winds and all bad weather elements. I remembered her garden when I saw those Greenhouse Kits at Gothic Art Greenhouses where they offer the highest quality commercial, hobby, international, institutional greenhouses at the lowest prices throughout United States.

Trust them to provide you everything you need to setup and maintain your own greenhouse with various styles and designs of greenhouse kits, equipment and Greenhouse Supplies for small and big growers in the plant industry. Visit and contact them if you want assistance on setting up your own Greenhouse.

My Career Type: Social

You are helpful, friendly, and trustworthy.
Your talents lie in teaching, nursing, giving information, and solving social problems.

You would make an excellent:

Counselor - Dental Hygienist - Librarian
Nurse - Parole Officer - Personal Trainer
Physical Therapist - Social Worker - Teacher

The worst career options for your are realistic careers, like truck driver or farmer.

Not in my long list of work done in the last 19 years of my career.  Anyway Counselor will do as I have experienced being an administrative and  human resource officer for 6 years and I've done a lot of counseling for the employees.  The job gave a lot of experience on the field of human resource and widen my knowledge on understanding different characteristics of my colleagues.

Need to Boost Appetite

My nephew is sick again and he’s been absent from class for three days now. I was really worried because the fever keep coming back and they didn’t know the cause. He’s out of danger for dengue and he didn’t have cough but his feet are losing strength that he can’t walk straight the other day. He has little appetite in general and very choosy on the foods and his doctor told my brother that he needs to eat cheese, eggs, bananas and many others. He lost energy maybe because of the frequent fever that hit him and now he wants to go to school because he misses the school and his friends a lot.

Aside from the food that was recommended by the doctor I think he really needs the best multivitamins to supplement his intake of food and to give him a good appetite to eat various kinds of foods and not just what he wants. As I’m writing this post I’m asking his condition as of this hour. I pray and hope that he’ll get well as soon as possible. My little boy told me that he missed his cousin classmate Matt.
