My Eyes are Tired to Blog!

Just came from our church weekly bible study and even if I want to work on my post assignments my eyes won't open a bit. I know my mind is still full of thoughts and ideas but my eyes won't cooperate so I planned on just working tomorrow at early dawn to finish all. It's always a problem to me whenever I came home from office and want to work on my sites my eyes felt like closing on me, I think I should them some relaxing moments or I'll be having problems on them. I promised myself to include my eye checkup on my schedule. I want a new set of eyeglasses.

Preventive Measures

We were informed by the school about their directives on handling this current prevailing swine flu disease. They asked the parents that if their children are already suffering from fever and some signs of flu it’s better to let the children stay at home to prevent transfer of sickness. This A(H1N1) virus can be transmitted through air the reason why schools are very careful with cases of fever and flu. If the children get sick in school they will be quarantined in one room until their parents arrived to take them home. Children were also instructed to bring alcohol and soap. It’s their precautionary measures to prevent other children from getting the virus and every one should adhere to their new guidelines.

For me their restrictions and guidelines are just right for the prevailing disease around the globe. It’s hard to acquire that disease and those found with this kind of disease gets hospitalized. That’s where hardship begins because it will take you days to be there. I don’t want to stay long in the hospital. It always reminds me of the times when my father gets hospitalized and he complained of dextrose and catheters attached to his body. I don’t like the smell of different medicines and alcohol. My friend would always tell me that I will not be eligible to be a doctor or nurse because of my attitude. Anyway I’m not in that field so there’s nothing to say about it. I don’t want my kids to be hospitalized so I follow some measures for disease prevention and of course prayers are the ultimate protection for them

Be Optimistic

To achieve a positive attitude or to be an optimistic person you must work on your relationship with others. You must learn how to accept other people for what they are. Don’t try to change or control them. The change has to be in you. You must learn how to share your feelings, communicate and open up your heart to them. You can always join a support group that encourages sharing feelings. If you’re not the type accustomed to opening up your heart and sharing your feelings you can practice it, it would take a bit of work but it’s worth it. The group you’ve joined will be very helpful to you in encouragement part. You can also ask the help of your family and friends – they are the ones who understand you best and make them aware of what you want to do and accomplish.

A Purifying Diet to Eliminate Toxins

I've been asking myself what's the real diet to purify our body from bad toxins? It's also a frequent question now as there are lots of sickness prevailing our community. I've done some research and reading and found that a diet to eliminate toxins should have minimal or no animal products. Animal products can be classified are those food we normally eat these days containing meat from animals like pork, beef and I know this includes the processed ones which are the favorites among many household like tocino, longanisa, bologna, ham and some others. I've learned that excluding this product will reduce the amount of saturated fat you take in. Fat is one of the primary storage vessels for harmful substances in your body.

What people should be eating are fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts and seeds that is if you're not suffering from gout or arthritis if I many say. If you have sickness like these just eat fruits and select your vegetables. These will provide us all the needed nutrition in our body and will supply us a high fiber diet, which is a must and an essential in eliminating unwanted substances from our intestines.

Pursuing My Dream

For the past years I’ve wanted to enroll in a course totally different from my college degree for the reason that I want to enhance my knowledge on some other fields of study aside from what I learned in college. Actually even if my course in college is Computer Engineering my dream is to take up Chemical Engineering and Journalism.

Due to my desire to land a job right after college I took up computer course to ensure great opportunities in applying for a job. True to my objective I was easily hired even before my graduation day and I enjoyed all my jobs thereafter. Now that I’ve been to numerous jobs and different fields I want to return to my dream and school mba seems to be a great way for me to achieve that. Online study is just the right place for me as I don’t have plenty of time to enroll in a regular post graduate school. Now I’m thinking seriously about this plan of mine.

New Church Site

We visited our church reserved site for our next church location as we're moving out of our present location. We're just happy that before the August due date we're able to get a new one and it's just few minutes from our old site.

We dropped by Kamias St. and went to ML Bldg. We used a big vehicle to transport us all because we're around 20 plus members who went there. We're in the fourth floor and a sudden rush of memory came rushing in my mind. I remembered going here in the past when I was still in DSI and I was asked by my office mate to get her loan form for her. It's still the same stairs and the same rooms. What a coincidence! The place is nice and clean and the community seems very quiet we fear we'll be having problems with our sound system.

We planned how we are going to place our equipment and the division that must be constructed to have reception, sunday school and fellowship room. There are so many things to plan, do and arrange and we'll do it on the last Sunday of July or first day of August. I know God will help us finish everything on time to settle our church best.

: Photohunt 168 : Pink (Dress)

Nice to be back here in photohunt, my entry for this week is my kids' photo 3 years ago when we're about to go to our church. I remember making my girls wear their dresses given by their auntie from G.B. and I liked how the colors fit them well, red for Genesis and pink for Ruth well my youngest wouldn't be upstaged by the two so he just put a 'pogi' sign in his chin. By the way for non-Pinoys 'pogi' means handsome or cute!

Vacation at Breezes Resorts

Talk about relaxing and vacationing, for me it’s a wonderful thought! Being a working Mom for several years my vacation includes spending three days vacation in a highland place few hours away from Manila for twice a year. I still want to have a vacation near the beaches but miles away from Manila where I would fly just to be at that place. Here in our country there are a lot of beautiful beach resorts in Boracay, Bohol, Puerto Princesa and some other not so popular places. Philippines are endowed with captivating and scenic places but some are not yet developed.

My SIL loves vacationing too and she has a habit of rounding up vacation resorts around Europe and America that’s totally new to her. She’s living in Great Britain and every time she has a chance she plans for a getaway vacation to relax her body and mind from everyday tension and pressures of her work... Last time I talked to her she told me that she wants an all inclusive resort which offers everything from the beach resorts to comfortable accommodations to fine dining to sports activities. It would really be nice to have a super inclusive package like that and Breezes Resort can do that.

She would like a different vacation this time and she’s thinking of having a vacation where she can have the view of rugged mountains, beaches and coves and can take advantage of the blue waters and richest landscapes in the Caribbean. I told her she can go to Runaway Bay Jamaica where she can enjoy sports activities like golf and tennis or just while away the time viewing all the scenic spots there.

Or she can choose a different destination where she can indulge on exciting water and land sports. It would be fun to do some windsurfing, sailing and water ski or if she’s the type of a land sports enthusiast she could do some table tennis, beach volleyball or even golf. She should choose Bahamas resorts to do all these together with all the amenities and accommodations offered by them. One good thing about all inclusive packages is that the person needs not to worry about other things like food and sports/recreational activities. All of these are available at Breezes Resort and you can visit their site now to plan your dream vacation.

I'll Be a WAHM Soon!

I'm counting my days in my work now as my resignation was approved at last. I've resigned from my job last year in May but was asked by my employer to extend my stay leading my employment to extend up to this time. I've been following up my intended early retirement almost every two months but it was when my Mom suffered temporary blindness that my resignation was considered seriously.

Actually it was a flattering thought that they wouldn't want me to leave my work which lasted for more than sixteen years, I would like to think they like me really that they asked me to think it over and over before deciding finally. My boss even asked me to accept a part-time job of an HR consultant but I told him I can't spare more than two days of my week because my family needed my full time attention now. I was glad that my junior boss allowed me a complete resignation without consultancy or part-time work and just asked me to at least give them a one-month allowance to turn over my work properly.

I would admit I've been losing hope that I will be allowed to resign and my colleagues keep on teasing me that it would take me another year but after my final talk with my senior boss detailing the inner problems I have in my family regarding their need for my full attention my boss understood my situation and accepted my resignation. It was a very happy day for me and though I'm still working and would be in my office for two weeks I can now savor the taste of my freedom from an 8-5 work. By the way I'll still be working but I'll be joining the WAHM work-at-home mommies and will concentrate more on writing in my sites.

Planning Your Perfect Home

At the start of marriage life couples usually dreams of a perfect home to start a family. The search starts for a good house location, the architectural design of your home and everything about house plans. It’s a very exciting first stage of your marriage where you need to prioritize getting the best design for your family’s nest. But planning a house is not that easy as you have to consider many things before choosing. Deciding is another thing as when you finally decided on getting your chosen plan there’s no backing out as the building will soon start to materialize.

I remember my father in his younger years dreamed of having a ranch house in our coconut plantation. He loves the countryside and wanted to stay there during weekends away from the bustling city. He then searched for a nice ranch house plan with all the provisions of comfort, convenience and durability. It didn’t materialize though as he suffered a mild stroke and advised by his doctor to relax and rest. My brother was very young then and it’s impossible to pursue the plan.

Now that my siblings and I were older we planned on just having a small vacation house in the countryside even though my father has passed away already. My Mom is actually dreaming of this and asked my engineer brother to look on some nice country house plans we’ve seen online. You heard it right there are available house plans and designs for you to choose from to help you plan your perfect home. House Plans and More will make it easy for those who want to have a good home plan for their family. They provide various resources and tools to make your search quick and easy. This site offers not only house plans but provide a way also to locate a builder for your house. Isn’t it great having all of these in just one site? It makes planning and dreaming your perfect home fun and easy.

Looking At The Sky On Friday : Northern Skies

Photobucket

This is a sky photo along the Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway, boundary of La Union and Tarlac where our technical engineers traveled to meet our prospective clients for VoIP Termination. Anyway as the car is moving during the photo shoot it's hard to perfect the angle of the mountain and sky thus the picture is not so centered and the bridge rails covered almost one third of the view. Oh well the weather here was good anyway and the travel was just fine and sleepy.
