Reducing Stress The Christian Way - Part 2

I'm back again friends for more tips on reducing stress, these are very important as stress can kill you softly!

Separate worries from concerns and let go of the anxiety. Pray to God to help you in a hard situation, if you can’t do anything to solve the problem, just let go and pray to God to help you find a way. Always carry a bible and other inspirational books with you to read while waiting in line.

Listen to Christian songs while driving or working it will release some tension and can help you start the day right.

Keep a list of your favorite scriptures on hand; it will help you on difficult situation. Make friends with Godly people, they have spiritual thoughts for sharing.

If you have problems, talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don't wait until it's time to go to bed to try and pray.

Thank Him. Always remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a good "Thank you Jesus." Try to keep this in mind.

Laugh! It will cure worries and anxieties. Be responsible in your work but don’t be serious with yourself, it will add years in your life.

Develop a forgiving attitude, if God can forgive why won’t you? Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it the most).

Talk less and listen more, there are people waiting there for you to listen to them only if you have time to listen.

To really reduce stress you must Slow Down and remind yourself that you are not the president of the universe. You’re not a Superman or Wonder Woman

Learning Photography

My daughter loves taking photos just like me, she looks and moves like me and now she does the things I love most. Some says she’s a mini me and I just laughed at the comments because it’s true. She’s asking me to have my camera repaired so she can use it again to take pictures. She also wants to buy stock of batteries for the camera so she will not run out of battery life whenever she’s shooting. Piano Lessons and Training for Church Musicians

Since we’ve decided to buy a new drum set in the church through our meeting yesterday we also talked about disposing and selling some of our excess amplifiers and speakers. We’re going to sell items we’re not using anymore to add to our funds for the new drum set and possibly bass combo amp from gallien krueger if we can raise enough funds. I hope that in the next years to come we could also add piano or organ in our list since my kids are studying piano lessons now and in a matter of few years they want to play piano in the church. As of now we don’t have pianist because the one who knows how to play also handles the guitar. Actually he’s the one who told me to train and have my kids schooled for piano lessons so they can include one of them in the row of their musicians. Hope it will be soon.

Proper Maintenance of Musical Instruments

We had a general meeting yesterday at the church and our agenda includes our next December camp fellowship in Baguio and the condition of our musical instruments. We’ve discussed the options we will have to take if our Baguio plans will not push through. Next we’ve talked about and exchanged ideas on whether we will have the drum set repaired or replaced with a new one. The drumset is rather old which is a gift to church by my own brother 16 years ago and we’re having it auctioned at very low price to church mates so we can use the fund for new drum set.

I didn’t noticed that we also need a stand or mount for our manual projector we used in praising. Maybe a nice projector premier mount would handle it safely and would add an extra look to the projector. We’ve discussed everything from good deal purchase up to inventory and taking care of the instruments. It should be properly monitored by one of the ministers who play the instruments to track updates on malfunctioning instruments and to have it repaired immediately. It’s good to have a proper maintenance and monitoring of all our instruments and things so we could lengthen their life span and extend their durability.

I’m satisfied with my choice of my daughters’ school because it doesn’t only offer quality education but teaches good Christian attitude as well. They also have a way of bringing out the best of their students’ skill and talents. I didn’t know that they could bring out the best of my daughters’ ability but they managed to.
