Education and Investment

We’ve been lazily conversing about the possible college courses that Ruth will want to take after four years when she finished secondary education. I think she’ll be good in Media Arts, Advertising or IT Courses. I can see in her a good future in those fields but I told her she can take any course that she feels would make her dreams come true. Now she really enjoys the changes in her life when she entered high school. She experience lots of changes and she’s very happy about it. Education is becoming more fun and exciting for her.

I’m glad about that because education is a key to everyone’s success and I would want my kids to finish their studies up to college. That way hubby and I will feel satisfied and secured that our kids will have something in them that no man can steal. It’s like having a sure investment like gold coins that appreciates value throughout the years. You’ll feel secured that no matter what happened you’ll have your returns from your capital. Precious metals increase in values over the years so when you have them in storage or safe bank deposit you’ll soon be reaping profits. That’s the way education and good investment relates to each other.

The Cross

When we have our problems sometimes we think that we're the most unfortunate human in this world.  We pity ourselves and blame others for what happened in our lives.  We asked God why He's giving it all to us and not on others.  We see others as better and luckier with their wealth, beauty, intelligence and success.  This should not be our thinking because we all have our cross to carry.  What differs is how we carry it meaning it's how we carry our problems and what approach are we applying to solve it.  God is testing us in His unique and caring ways that He's giving us some trials to make us stronger and more closer to Him.  Here's one story that I'd like to share with you, hope it will give you some inspirations.

A young man was at the end of his rope, seeing no way out, he dropped to his knees in prayer "Lord, I can't go on," he said. "I have too heavy a cross to bear."

The Lord replied, "My son, if you can't bear its weight, just place your cross inside this room.

Then, open that other door and pick out any cross you wish."

The man was filled with relief and said, "Thank you Lord," and he did as he was told. Upon entering the other room, he saw many crosses; some so large the tops were not visible. Then, he spotted a tiny cross leaning against a far wall.

"I'd like that one, Lord," he whispered. The Lord replied, "My son, that is the cross you just brought in."

When life's problems seem overwhelming, it helps to look around and see what other people are coping with. You may consider yourself far more fortunate than you imagined.

YOUR CROSS

Whatever your cross
Whatever your pain
There will always be sunshine
After the rain
Perhaps you may stumble
Perhaps even fall
But God's always there
To help you through it all

Health Information Helps

I’m currently working on my new health blog which I think is very much needed to give some health tips, info and guidance to people who might somehow find a need to read such kind. I’m very much aware that this generation is not only experiencing great innovations but modern sicknesses as well. It’s a tragic reality that in spite of modern technology and great wisdom of man many people now experience deadly sickness like cancer. We had some cases in our family and I believe that knowing the symptoms, prevention and possible cure for the disease can help in preventing the occurrence of deadly diseases. People should try to learn and study some Health Facts to help in understanding the factors that may cause such diseases.

Visiting sites that give information about the common killer diseases like lung cancer, breast cancer and others can educate and inform us what we should avoid and what to do to prevent us from getting vulnerable to sickness. I just learned about fatigue from lung cancer, factors that cause it and how to cope with it. Cancer is a very dangerous disease that must be cured immediately at the first stages because there are possible chances of surviving it at the first onset. Try to visit healthfacts4u.com and you’ll learn some helpful advice necessary to prevent, cure and live with this disease.

Just like this shot at the pool with mini fountains around it. I like how the sky and clouds serve as the perfect background for the pool with mini man-made falls and slide. DH is about to slide here and I was waiting for his plunge lol! Btw this pool is for kids and we hang out there because our little boy seem to claim it as his new home lol! He didn't want to go out of the water except when he's hungry.

It's always nice to see scenic view of the sky. Makes me feel and see God's wonderful creations. To visit more beautiful sky photos just click on the badge above!

Clean and Safe Environment for Our Kids

We really must have some repair and renovation in the house as I keep on telling on my other posts because some of the areas in the house need repainting and two rooms in the upper floors need to have floor replacement. My sister and I are saving for it and targeting the end of this month to materialize our plans. Before the renovation and repainting my brother reminded us to have lead test kits to check everything that may cause lead poisoning. We really must take all precautions regarding health and safety in our homes to ensure clean and safe environment for our kids to live in.

Recovered from Last Year’s Loss

How I love to have some house make over and buy those modern furniture I’ve seen online while doing some posts for my home blog. After the flood that hit our town last year we gave away some of our home decors and furniture that were affected by immersion in water. We didn’t want to repair them so we just disposed them in order to clear the house of unused appliances, furniture and other things. I’m happy that we’ve recovered around 90% now and if I would buy that furniture we’ll completely forget about what happened last year because we will not able to see our worn-out house things.

Brochure Printing

I’m so happy when I received my pictures I ordered from an online printing company. I find it easier to have my pictures printed online because I don’t have to compare prices of different stores in the mall near us. They offer different discounts and deals but still I wasn’t satisfied with the amount they’ve quoted me for their printout quality. My friend introduced me a cheaper and better quality printing which I’m enjoying now. I remember how my previous company has been searching for a reliable Brochure Printing company that will print our company brochure with the quality we want in the amount we can afford.

Well I haven’t thought of online printing then but now I’ve browsed online for sites with high quality printouts and I’ve found out my1stop.com which offers convenient custom printing solutions for your personal or business needs. They have many options which you can choose to suit your specific quality requirements. You’re assured that your order for Postcard Printing, business cards, brochures,Custom Labels and other printing projects are quick and easy and as fast as 3 days turnaround time. Their services include graphic design, fast accurate quotations and customer service that will answer all queries and assists you in whatever way they can. They can give you their quotes in as fast as few seconds only and in very affordable price that you’ll surely love.

Now they also offer promotional products and specialized items such as medical tags, custom card holders and more. They promote eco-friendly printing of your favorite products now which I think is very important in our environment.

About Instant Noodles

I just want to share some tips on the most frequently cooked snack or even meal whenever we're rushing. We only disregard some warning about this in the past but this one reminder from a close friend opened my eyes to being aware of the common foods that we eat. I've known this for quite some time and have shared this verbally with all of my office friends who are very fond of cooking and eating this whenever they don't have snack or lunch available. Well we can't really avoid instant noodles but we can prevent their harmful effects if we limit our intake and if we cook it the right way.

'WRONG WAY OF COOKING NOODLES'

Normally, how we cook the instant noodles is to put the noodles into a pot with water, throw in the powder and let it cook for around 3 minutes and then it's ready to eat. This is the WRONG method of cooking the instant noodles. By doing this, when we actually boil the ingredients in the powder, normally with MSG it will change the molecular structures of the MSG causing it to be toxic.

The other thing that you may or may not realize is that, the noodles are coated with wax and it will take around 4 to 5 days for the body to excrete the wax after you have taken the noodles..

CORRECT METHOD :

The correct way to cook instant noodles without harming our bodies and health:

1. boil the noodles in a pot with water.
2. once the noodles is cooked, take out the noodles, and throw away the water which contains wax.
3. boil another pot of water till boiling and put the noodles into the hot boiling water and then shut the fire.
4. only at this stage when the fire is off, and while the water is very hot, put the ingredient with the powder into the water, to make noodle soup.
5. however, if you need dry noodles, take out the noodles and add the ingredient with the powder and toss it to get dry noodles.

A large number of patient with the ages ranging from 18-24 years are ending up with pancreatitis either as a swelling or infection of the pancreas due to regular consumption of instant noodles.... If the frequency is more than 3 times a week, then it is very hazardous.

Better safe than sorry....

Blood Pressure Monitors for Your Safety

My Auntie went to her doctor again for a follow-up check up of her hypertension because she felt like her blood pressure is shooting up again. That is due to the inconsistent weather which is not doing well for her and the stress of managing her household. Anyway I heard some similar cases of women her age that doesn’t have problems in their houses but still they experience shooting up of blood pressure. I’m still in doubt of some of the causes of hypertension aside from the common causes that I know from the start. Now upon getting the results of her check up she was given a maintenance medicine to maintain a regular blood pressure. I’m asking her if there’s a need for blood pressure monitors because some of the women her age who have the same sickness have their equipment in the house to monitor their blood pressure. Luckily she told me that she wasn’t instructed to buy because that will add costs to her allocated budget.

Even if it’s not needed I still did my research on the prices and I was glad to find that it will cost us less if we buy it in stores like Southeastern Medical Supply which offers health monitoring equipment like blood pressure cuffs, pulse oximeters, nebulizer, pedometers, oxygen concentrators and many other medical equipment in affordable prices much like the factory price given in bulk orders. So if you have a need for health monitoring equipment for home or hospital use you can visit and shop at them online. Rest assured they will be giving you a safe, secured and convenient online shopping experience.

Portland PC Repair

It rained heavily last night and I was praying that brownouts won’t occur as it’s always like that in the past. I had two days of intermittent connection from my internet provider and I felt so tired trying to get my tasks done with my bad connection. I was thinking that it’s alright as long as my laptop is in good condition because it really matters to me if my computer is in perfect condition because that’s the heart of my work and without it I can’t do my tasks. It’s imperative that our computers are properly maintained and if there’s a need for repair we should have a technician on call to check our computer. In Portland metro area there’s a company that offers reliable and affordable service to those living there. Portland computer repair provides onsite and remote repair services for their clients. :Looking at the Sky on Friday #87

Photobucket

See the beautiful creations of God - the mountains, sky, clouds and lake. It was a rainy morning when I took the shot but still the scenery here is still beautiful despite the gloomy weather. You can see here the picturesque sight of the Philippines' Taal Volcano which may erupt anytime according to volcanologists last month just after we've been there on June 12. I'm still hoping it won't as there will be great damages with many settlers living near the place.

God's wonderful creations are always a beauty to behold! To visit more beautiful sky photos just click on the badge above!
