Learning Facts About Stevia

Last weekend when I went for my usual weekend grocery trip Healthy Section in my favorite supermarket got my attention. I saw a healthy breakfast cereal which is healthy and affordable as well. Then I saw a herbal dietary supplement made from Stevia. As curious as I was I bought a pack of the mentioned supplement which is a sweetener as well.

I’ve long been thinking about substitute for sugar in my coffee and sometimes in my tea but I can’t have those with aspartame contents because fears of cancer-causing ingredients just keep on ringing on my ears. I’m not a soda drinker so drinking sugar free softdrinks will not be an issue. For coffee I should say that I can’t get rid of it completely though I’ve managed to limit it to 2 cups per day now.

Now this Stevia sweetener which I haven’t heard before was temporarily put to shelves until I researched things about it yesterday. It’s a non-caloric herb native to Paraguay but I discovered it’s being grown also in the Philippines. The pack I bought is actually Philippine’s first sweetener/dietary supplement product and it’s highly recommended for diabetics, weight watchers and health conscious as well. I’m convinced now that I’ve bought a quality product and I’m looking forward to using it in the next few days.
